Vailed Territories

The central theme of the exhibition revolves around the exploration of life in the marginalized, peripheral neighborhoods of Santiago, Chile, through a deeply personal lens. The exhibition seeks to illuminate the harsh realities faced by young people growing up in these areas, including premature exposure to violence, drugs, isolation, and social exclusion. This is not only a portrayal of individual stories but also a broader commentary on the structural inequities that have allowed these conditions to persist and worsen over time. The artists are driven by a need to make visible the struggles of a community often rendered invisible by mainstream narratives.
