DÄR TYSTNADEN BOR

An Audiovisual Memory Archive

Där Tystnaden Bor is an intermedia art project that is developing an audiovisual memory archive about children and young people
who have been killed in Malmö.
The project aims to preserve their stories, memories, and places and to create a narrative different from the one that often remains
after a deadly act of violence: a headline, a name, or a number.
Through photography, film, sound, interviews, geographical references, and artistic memorials, an archive is created where each
individual has a place of their own.

VEILED TERRITORIES

Territorios Velados is a multimedia art exhibition exploring life in the marginalized and peripheral neighborhoods of Santiago, Chile, through photography, film, and installation.

Rooted in a deeply personal perspective, the project examines the realities faced by young people growing up in environments shaped by violence, drug abuse, social isolation, and exclusion. Through still images and moving pictures, it reveals fragments of everyday life, where vulnerability and hardship coexist with human connection, resilience, and hope.

Beyond individual stories, the exhibition reflects on the structural inequalities and social abandonment that allow these conditions to persist. It seeks to make visible the lives and experiences of communities often overlooked by dominant narratives.

The installation takes the form of a memorial, inviting visitors to light candles, leave flowers, and reflect on what they have encountered throughout the exhibition. This shared space of remembrance transforms the act of viewing into an opportunity for contemplation, solidarity, and recognition.

Through the intersection of art, documentary practice, and collective memory, Territorios Velados invites audiences to confront the invisible boundaries that shape urban life and to reconsider the people and places that society too often leaves unseen.

"His truth will surround you as a shield;

you shall not fear the terror of the night,

nor the arrow that flies by day,

nor the danger that walks in darkness,

nor the assault, nor the noonday demon.”
